I have to admit it…I have become lazy with my hair. The five minute top bun is the quickest and easiest way to banish all my poor half greasy tresses to the top of my head. Shampooing and conditioning are a basic hair care necessity – deep down I know I’ve only scratched the surface. It’s so easy to believe a lie that having smooth, shiny locks is just a wash away. But we all know deep down the truth is inevitable.
Living in a very humid climate, our hair gets needy and I get busy. brutally honest, when it comes to my hair I’m just plain brutal. But it was actually a talk I had with my dear friend Lizzie Hill that struck me guilty as charged. Since then, I have become more aware of taking care of my own hair and actually doing something about it. I’ve bought hair masks from Lush and they are amazing. However, It’s pretty expensive so, I decided to DIY my own hair mask.
Here is what you need:
1 tbsp. Coconut Oil
2 tbsp. Raw/organic honey
Air-tight bottle
mixing bowl
measuring spoon

Step 1: Scoop 1 tbsp. of Coconut oil and 2 tbsp. of honey in a bowl. Mix them together.
Step 2: Heat hair mask for 20 sec or apply after a hot shower to open hair follicles.
Step 3: Evenly spread mask and wrap it into a cute bun or not. Auntie bun will just do fine.
