I remembered that moment where we all gathered into the room and shared our secrets with each other.
A joyous little girl, just only 6 years young turn to share her story. She began to whisper like she was afraid someone might hear her. In that moment she revealed the fears she kept in her heart. I told her that when she feels afraid and alone know that God will always be with her. Her eyes lifted, she didn’t care about her friends playing in the distance, she lifted her hands and the presence of God swept in and wrapped her in his arms. Tears started falling on her cheeks, but it wasn’t tears of fear but tears of knowing she had a comforter with her.
It didn’t matter how old we were, at that moment we both bonded over knowing what it means to be embraced by the One true comforter.
